Born on 27 October 1959 in Galanta. After graduation he studied at the Faculty of Education in Nitra. From 1985 to 1995 he was teaching at Elementary School in Galanta. From 1989 to 1994 he studied at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Department of Culture Studies. The two following years he worked at the Slovak Radio in Bratislava as a music editor. Since 1997, he worked as Director of the Elementary Art School of Joseph Haydn in Galanta.
He entered the local politics in 2010, as an independent candidate supported by MOST-HID for the post of the mayor of Galanta. He achieved the majority of the votes among eight other candidates for the position.
Among other activities in 1997, he founded the Classical music Festival in Galanta called The Music Days, which became a traditional cultural event of Galanta, as was the birth of UNICEF Benefit Concerts, organized since 1998. He is a member of OSA, ZAI, SLOVGRAM and EMU -Slovakia. He has been cooperating with Haydn's company situated in Vienna and the Austrian Cultural Forum in Bratislava in the in the field of clarifying and popularizing the impact of the Galanta branch of the Esterhazy noble family on the musical life in the region and its relationship to the court composer and bandmaster Joseph Haydn.
In completing his efforts as a Director, he achieved an honorary name for the Art School - The Art School of Joseph Haydn's on the 50th anniversary of the school in 2007.
He is the composer of a gala signature tune of the town, as one of the symbols of Galanta.
